    The closest place to enjoy a lake with a beach, boating, water sports, the whole nine yards is at Jordanelle State Park.

    Utah Lake is further south, and Pineview Dam/Willard Bay is further north. Jordanelle is a great spot that is closest to Salt Lake City.
